Sustainable Playground
The dog-friendly holiday park, which is consistently voted Queensland’s best in the annual Out & About with Kids’ Readers’ Choice Awards, is delighting little ones (and parents who care about the environment) with its new eco-friendly playground. Designed for all ages and abilities by Brisbane-based playground designer Urban Play in conjunction with the 7 Senses Foundation, the shaded and semi-fenced playground is bursting with fun. As well as the obligatory seesaw and swings, there’s a springer to rock on and a double play tower to climb and slide down. There’s also a 30-metre-long double cableway to race along, a spinning Supernova, and a large, pentagon-shaped Climbing Bloqx for older kids to conquer. The bright and colourful equipment was made from such things as recycled plastic bags, and recycled maritime waste, such as fishing nets, from playground manufacturing company KOMPAN's innovative GreenLine range. Parents and siblings can sit on sandstone blocks while they watch children in the playground, or having a game on the nearby basketball court.
Deluxe Cabins and Safari Tents
Families who like a bit of luxury – or just the novelty factor – now have more accommodation options at BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park, including Deluxe Cabins and Safari Tents. There are four new three-bedroom Deluxe Cabins, which sleep up to ten people, and four new two-bedroom Family Deluxe Cabins, which sleep up to six people. One of the latter is also accessible, with a ramp leading to the entrance, wide doors, and rails in bathrooms. All are decked out with modern fixtures and furnishings, including brass fittings in the kitchen and bathroom. The stylish Safari Tents, which are available from January 2024 and also sleep up to six people, come complete with claw foot baths on the verandah, four-poster queen beds, bunk beds and kitchenettes. Other accommodation at the Park ranges from powered and unpowered campsites to motel rooms and cottages.

Activities and Experiences
There’s loads of ways to fill your days at BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park! As well as being the closest holiday park to Dreamworld and Warner Bros. Movie World theme parks, it also boasts the tallest water park of any holiday park in Australia, with a huge tipping bucket and several slides catering to kids of different ages. The Park also has a large pool, jumping pillow, pedal karts, plenty of room for kids to ride bikes and scooters, and offers games such as foot pool, frisbee golf, table tennis, plus movie nights. You can also go fishing in Salt Water Creek, and kids can help make pizzas and tacos for lunch, decorate cakes, and go on scavenger hunts. There’s an off-leash area at the rear of the park where dogs can run around and play, as well as a puppy pamper palace. On-site restaurant Nibbles Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers specials such as seafood and chicken parmi nights. Don’t feel like getting up? No problem – you can order meals via QR code from tables at the café and neighbouring terrace and from cabanas by the pool and water park, helping make your holiday even more relaxing.
